Pray for safe arrival of the barrels on Nov. 30th and released by Port of Spain workers before 15O to 200 children come to Apostles Ministries on Dec 6th when the bibles and content of the barrels will be needed.

Updated Wednesday 12th November, 2008 by Felina. We are still compiling the website information and writing the articles of incorporation for the registration process for the name of the ministry, Sanctuary For Children, which we are hoping to be name approved within one month's time. We are also in the process of taking photos to update the website and give better reports and testimonies.

11-8-08 We are working on the public site. I will give the address when it is presentable. The first 2 barrels are being shipping to day. There is so much to praise the Lord about these barrels, I will write the testimony later. The Lord is bringing many more people in the US and TT into his ministry for the children to bless them and those in this ministry with him. I am not gong after these people, bu the Lord himself is drawing them in. It is amazing. I will be writing a brief purpose of our ministry on the home page. It is about the condition of the children in Trinidad. I am only the reporter, so those of you who know these things better than me make sure I am not misstating the facts. What is written and said is want is understood in America, so the message is important.

The website is very new and very rough and many are revising the format and placing the necessary information. In Summary here is what we are working on;

- We are placing information on the website and changing the website layout. This website is a workshop for any one of us to contribute. It is highly unlikely that it would ever be found by any Internet search engines, only by invitation. It will allow us to see what the information looks like and how it reads and to reshape our purpose and our message as the Lord directs us. This information will be used to construct our permanent website.

- The Lord is bringing those who would serve him together from the body of Christ in Trinidad team and the body of Christ in the US. We are just beginning to work together. Jon and Felina met Lee in February of 2008 and it was more than clear to us that this ministry was our assignment. Many more have joined us and you are welcome.

- We are planning a medical mission trip from the US to Trinidad in the Lord's timing and provision. Let us know if you are interested in being on the US mission team going to Trinidad or being on the Trinidad team to receive the mission team. You don' t have to be a medical person. We are ministering to the children in any way we can, but we know they have medical needs.

- We can minister directly to the children before we are a formal and legal institution. We are in the process of formalizing our institution according to the laws of Trinidad and Tobago. Once our articles of incorporation are approved, we can began working towards establishing more orphanages for more children. Currently, there are only two Christian orphanages able to handle only 20- 30 children between the two. Until the Lord provides for more orphanages, we will minster directly to needy children wherever we can find them.

Healing Harmonics Inc.- We have set up a collection point in the United States under a ministry called Healing Harmonics, Inc. www.healingharmonicsinc.com . They have a strong reputation, and were established over 20 years ago.

- We are working on ways to ship provisions for the children in barrels to be carried inexpensively on oceangoing ships to Trinidad. Jon and Felina have been ministering to children's homes and to other needy children for many years and bringing whatever provisions they could themselves afford. We are now asking the Lord to provide through the body of Christ.

- We would like to collect clothing and other supplies in the United States to be sent to the children in Trinidad.

7-8-08 Felina reports this;
Jon and I are presently teaching classes to the children at the St Flourence Children's Home during the July/August vacation period in Trinidad. During the July/ August vacation period all children have holidays from school so we are taking advantage of this period of time to teach the children different life skills that will help them when they have to leave the home and we are also helping them to realize their talents so they can minister to others. Some of the topics we will be teaching are: setting a table, table etiquette, event planning, mega speed reading, reading recipes/measurements, reading garment label/ironing, character qualities/peer pressure, setting up electronics, free-hand sewing, money management, vehicle maintenance, financial planning/investments, making and use of puppets, grooming, good family traits and family planning, Do-it-yourself home improvement skills/ use of tools, cooking terms and meanings, emergency self defence skills, reading bills/financial statements/instruction manuals, first aid and emergency response, vocal training and dance. These sessions are held every Monday from 3-5pm and Thursday 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

I (Felina), will be coordinating three camps FOR CAMP GLORIOUS 2008 at Longdenville Government Primary School 21st-25th July, Edinburgh Government Primary School 28th July to 1st August and California Government Primary 11th -15th August, 2008. we are catering for 200 children to be in attendance at each camp where we will teach them math, English and about Jesus. the team is "Life is Precious"...we will be teaching the children that their life is precious and the life of others is also precious..this teaching is necessary because of the high crime situation in our country...at every camp we will invite children to give their lives to the Lord and place them to the church which is closest to where they live. this is a project of Youth For Christ Trinidad and Tobago who will be having a total of 75 camps this year.you can send this information for the intercessors to keep these camps in prayer and if anyone wants to give towards these camps they can sponsor two children for about $7USD which will be about $42 Trinidad and Tobago dollars, i am authorized to receive finances and pass it on to Youth For Christ. PEOPLE GIVING TOWARDS THE CAMPS MUST STIPULATE THAT IT IS FOR THE CAMPS SO THAT THE FINANCES WILL BE RECORDED AS RECEIVED IN THE YOUTH FOR CHRIST ACCOUNTS.

This is a story about what a used computer can do for a child. We have the barrel as a way to get them there, especially light laptops, but the barrels have no weight restrictions so we can send used desktop computers also.

There was a child in the children's home we visited in February. While we were there and as a result of prayer, the Lord healed the child in many ways. The child is past the age of ten, but had not been taught to read and write. A computer was used a computer with software to teach the child to read and write and catch up on years of lost school. Children must be admitted by state exams and other tests to middle school and also high school and roughly half of them are not accepted. This child can now read and write and scored high enough to be in class with children the same age, who have been in school all along. This is how the power of the Lord and a used computer can change a life.
